What the subscription includes
Every paid plan — personal and district alike — carries the full feature set. There is no cut-down tier, which is unusual in this category and makes the comparison simpler than it is for most memberships:

District subscriptions add user-management dashboards and Medicaid reporting across a team. What none of the tiers include is a materials library — no worksheets, no themed units, no printables. That omission is deliberate, and it is the single most important thing to understand about the price.
Annual or monthly? The math over a school year
At $29 a month, twelve months costs $348. The annual plan is $215, so it saves $133 — and it breaks even after roughly seven and a half months of use.
For most school-based SLPs that settles it. A ten-month contract year at $29/month is $290, still $75 more than the annual plan, and the annual plan keeps working through the summer when you are writing IEPs rather than seeing students. Monthly billing only wins if you genuinely expect to use the platform for seven months or fewer — a one-term contract, a maternity cover, or a trial run inside a district that has not committed yet.
SLP Toolkit vs SLP Now: same monthly price, different product
Since the August 2026 increase, the two best-known subscriptions for school SLPs cost the same per month. That makes the comparison unusually clean, because price is no longer the variable:

They are not really substitutes. SLP Toolkit is an assessment and data platform: it answers where is this student now, what should the goal be, and can I show progress at the IEP meeting. SLP Now is a materials library with planning tools attached: it answers what am I doing in the session on Tuesday. A caseload can easily generate both problems at once, which is why some SLPs end up paying for both — and why it is worth being clear which one is actually costing you time.
If your bottleneck is paperwork, present levels and progress reports, SLP Toolkit is the more purpose-built home for the money — and $34 a year cheaper on the annual plan. Who it is worth $215 a year for
School-based SLPs with large caseloads. The value scales with the number of students you have to assess, track and report on. At 60 students the per-student cost is under $4 a year.
Anyone whose evenings go to progress reports. Data graphing and templated reporting are the features people actually cite when they renew.
Districts standardising documentation. Per-licence pricing with a management dashboard and Medicaid reporting is aimed squarely at this, and group rates start at 25 licences.
It is a harder sell if:
You are in private practice with a small caseload. Much of the platform is built around IEP and school reporting cycles you may not run.
What you actually need is materials. This is the most common mismatch. The subscription will not reduce your prep time by a minute.
Your district already provides a data system. Paying personally to duplicate it rarely makes sense — ask about a district licence instead.
If materials are the real gap
A recurring pattern in how SLPs describe their spending: the data platform and the materials budget are two separate problems, and conflating them is how people end up paying for a library they rarely open or a data tool they cannot make worksheets with.
If the materials half is your gap, it does not have to be another $250 subscription. Free, dictionary-verified articulation word lists cover a surprising amount of articulation work at no cost.
